THEY'RE MARRIED, YOU GUYS, THEY'RE FUCKING MARRIED!

Five years, I've waited five years and it actually happened! although I wish I hadn't started eating at the cold open

I wish this were a Friday show, just so I could properly celebrate. Instead I have to study for my calculus test tomorrow.

But still *epic squee*!

First off, I want to say thank you for everyone who commented in the last entry. I know, I know I've been a horrible LJer lately, and you probably don't even remember what the last post was. My sister had a baby! He's almost a month old now, incredibly adorable, and his name is Max. I can't put up pictures, but trust me when I say that he looks exactly like Joaquin.

What's been going on with me? Well, I got my schedule for this school year today and I feel really good about what's coming up for the first time ever, although the fact that it's my last year still really freaks me out. I'm taking computers (hopefully I'll be able to take it as AP or else it's just such a waste of time), Spanish 2, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus, AP Government, and then finish off the day with Leadership -- I'm on student council this year! I finished all my English credits, so I have no English class. I'm glad I'll have more time to read what I want to read, but I'll miss it.

In other news:
--Saw (500) Days of Summer. I'm now in love with Joseph Gordon-Levitt. :D
--Saw Julie & Julia. Really, really cute.
--I went to the Natural History Museum and saw the butterflies. If you follow my tumblr then I already spammed you with pictures.
--Merlin series two promos have been released. OMG I AM EXCITE :'D
American!Skins, featuring Tony, and bonus Naomily )

Tomorrow/this morning I'm leaving again on another trip. I'll be in San Francisco until Thursday, so I will once again be absent 'round these parts. I promise to share and not accidentally delete the pictures this time. I'll see you next week :D

MY SISTER JUST HAD A BABY!

It's a boy. I've only seen a picture but he's adorable. Joaquin was so happy he ran around the house naked. More later. Probably on Twitter.

I just went back through 700 posts catching up on my flist and all the ~news. I can't believe THREE celebrities died while I was on vacation (RIP Ed, Farrah, and Michael). We actually heard about those via my sister's BlackBerry -- really got us bummed on our fun, happy trip.

But anyway, SAN DIEGO IS FRIGGIN GORGEOUS! I loved it and had so much fun. However, we spent this morning at the beach and I forgot to put on sunscreen. So now my face is red from the sunburn, my nose is in pain, and my lips are chapped. This is why I hate the beach.

I'll upload the pictures and talk more about it tomorrow, but now I'm just going to sleep.

what?

What?

WHAT?

WHYYYYYYYYY?

BAG, I fell in love with you on T:SCC. It was actually a quality show, and you were a serious badass.

But this -- I'm so pissed off at you for this. Sure it sounds awesome on paper, but there's no way SMALLVILLE can do it justice so it's just a set up for disappointment. And also, I'm going to have to watch again! :'(

SEE WHAT YOU DID, FOX?!

So I finally got to see Terminator Salvation today. In light of recent events, this experience was bittersweet. But let me just say that it was awesome.

spoilers )

Also, is there a Terminator lulz community a la [info]brb_gallifrey and [info]chambrofsekrits? There really needs to be one.

FUCK YOU, FOX, FUCK YOU

I can't even get into Dollhouse, while this was one of the smartest, boldest, and most exciting shows I've ever seen. You couldn't even wait for the interest the movie would have brought?! *grr*

Real life update soon, I promise.

First off, let me do this meme I've had to do for a couple of weeks

Comment to this post and I will give you 5 subjects/things I associate you with. Then post this in your LJ and elaborate on the subjects given.
^^Please tell if you actually want to do it or if you're just commenting!

In RL news, yesterday was my last day of school. Since my school is getting either less crappy or more crappy (we're not sure yet) by going on a traditional schedule next year, I have the next four months off. This means Harry Potter midnight screening, yes it does. However, I have Calculus tutoring until the AP test on Wednesday. The SAT is this Saturday, and the AP English Literature test is the day after the Calculus one, so this week is going involve a lot of nail biting. I'm also planning on taking a few extra classes at the local community college just to keep me busy. Maybe a job, too.

I've started reading Christopher Moore's Fool. I'm about half-way through it now. I've been waiting all year for this. When I heard that it was King Lear I decided to wait until we read it in class so I would *get it* more, but of course we didn't read it until the last possible minute. It was also my final--I actually had a good analysis ready but I got thrown off by the fact that I had to also analyze some other book. I took way too much thinking and planning that I only got two sentences in. I did so awful. Ms. Geddes said it didn't really affect the grade, but I'm still afraid to see what I got. :/

The same day I bought Fool, I also bought the first Harry Potter in Spanish. Let me just say, that as a first generation Mexican, it's very embarrassing that I struggle in Spanish class. I figure that if Harry Potter led to my love of reading in English, it might do the same in Spanish. Also, I might be able to get my mom to read them.

Today, we had the AP Calculus Super Quiz. This is a school tradition in which all four AP Calculus AB classes taking an AP level quiz together. We have to group up (one member of each class per group) and solve the problems within the time limits. My group got third place (we would have gotten second if they had listened to me for one question!) and our prize was a five-dollar gift AMC certificate.

And lastly, I got a Twitter! I've had it for a while but I never actually posted the link here, so if anyone wants to just add me!

I never really saw the point for a long time, but then Matt Lewis got a Twitter and I just had to follow him. I now follow him, Neil Gaiman, Michael Ian Black, and I just discovered Chris Moore's! His swine flu tweets had me rolling on the floor.

I went to the movies last night and missed the show. I just finished watching and see that icon? That icon is my reaction. I may edit this for some discussion on specific events (under a cut of course), but for now let me make a public plea to Fox

Please don't cancel this show!

I love this meme. I was supposed to do it yesterday, but I remembered I had homework, so I'm doing it today.

1. Reply to this post, and I will pick six of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon glee.

[info]siriuslyjames picked these

This is the first icon I ever made using vector textures, and that's why it's kind of crappily made. I've since gotten better I swear, but I love this one because a) it's Stanley and b) it's Stanley being awesome.

Belle and Beast are my Disney OTP. And this is the incredibly wonderful scene where he's dying and she tells him she loves him. I like to pretend it ends there because this is what happens afterwards:

No. Just no.

Merlin is one of my favorite new shows. I also have to give it credit for making me a real slasher. Sure, I like Clark/Lex for the lulz, but I really want Arthur and Merlin to hook up. Granted I want everybody to hook up with everybody, but I want Arthur/Merlin the most. Seriously, they're so in love it's ridiculous.

Oh Jaysus, do I really need to explain? It's Neville, aka fiercest character in the Harry Potter series. I like the simplicity of this one. Unfortunately I don't get to use it often. :(

Olive Snook is my favorite Pushing Daisies character because she is adorable, as evidenced by this icon right here. This is my favorite of the lot because I just love expressing that amount of glee.

I love leaving a blank comment with just this icon. It's so hilariously over the top that you can't help but laugh no matter what.

In RL news, I totally kicked ass on today's timed writing. And it was POETRY! And not only did I rock it, I actually finished. I wouldn't consider it a nine just yet -- there was some repetition and my conclusion was basically summary -- but my revision is going to be so awesome. I won't even pretend to be modest, it's awesome. I am ridiculously proud of my work.

Happy Pi Day Everyone!

I just got back from a Saturday AP Calculus study session (I actually *got it* today) and we forgot to celebrate for some reason.  We had tamales, bread and juice but no pie.  Seriously, what kind of advanced math class are we?

Also, there should totally be Pushing Daisies Pi Day fic.  Imagine if there was a Pi Day episode?
